Anger Management

Back on Track: A Stress and Anger Management Program

Back on Track is a group program run through Family Service Kent where members are invited to explore a range of stress and anger-related concerns. Back on Track may not solve all of the problems in your life. However, it could make dealing with those difficulties a little easier. Family Service Kent currently offers a group for men, and another for adolescents. By the end of the program you should have some tools that will help you to:

  • Recognize and Manage Stress
  • Develop Empathy
  • Respond Instead of React
  • Change Negative Conversations with Yourself
  • Communicate Assertively
  • Adjust Expectations
  • Forgive
  • Retreat and Think Things Over

How Often Does This Program Run?

Back on Track will be run throughout the year, as long as there is sufficient demand for the program. Start dates will generally occur sometime in the months of January, April and September. Please feel free to contact the agency for more information.

Who is Eligible to Attend Back on Track?

Any man over the age of 18 is a potential candidate for the Back on Track Men’s program. Adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18, both male and female, are eligible for the Back on Track for Teens program. Once referred, you will be given an intake appointment with the group facilitator.
