Bill’s Testimony

It would be a major oversight for me not to express endless appreciation – to you – your assistance for getting me to where I need to go always on time to pick me up, and deliver me – and the travel cost is such a major help to me as well.

Of course add to your excellent & friendly expertise are the drivers – for one, Clarence, I admire his always present Faith and support – not to mention his ability to drive with unquestioned expertise – making the trip a distinct pleasure (I often wish it could be longer)

He shares the important events in his life quite willingly – with the result that in being an expert driver – he has become a young, caring and valued friend in addition to his driving skills.

Admiration for you knows no bounds, how you manage to juggle so many complicated schedules and ever – changing pick-up times could easily qualify you to be a competent air traffic controller at Pearson Airport in Toronto.

My broken hip is slowly beginning to heal – so in the future – a couple of months or so perhaps – driving in my car could become a possibility. When I see a time and date – we’ll try and give you plenty of notice.

I find that working with CHAP is a very rewarding organization. It is nice to get out and help the elderly people so that they can stay in their homes longer. I enjoy volunteering and getting out to help the people in our community. It is nice seeing the smiles on their faces when I show up – they have become a friend to me and I look forward to seeing them every time I go there!

Eighty-nine years ago, I was born than raised on a farm never thinking I would ever get old and would need help for someone to care for me, but I did get older, I lived alone in a house, my husband and I helped build. How was I going to do it as my health wasn’t so great. Then someone told me about CHAP, and my life became a lot better and safer too. I’ve become happier and more active, CHAP gave me independence. If you want a car driver, house cleaned, you can have it all done with a phone call to CHAP. Your health gets better as you have no worries, life becomes so much better. CHAP are a great bunch with very good volunteers. I thank them everyday so I hope you all have a great celebration.
